Google Says Bye Bye To Its Youtube Gaming App

Google launched an app back in 2015 specially for gamers as a dedicated streaming service so they can challenge rivals in Amazon Twitch service.

“We launched YouTube Gaming as a standalone app for gamers where we tested out new features based on the gaming community’s feedback,” the page explains. “We want to continue to build a stronger home for the gaming community that thrives on YouTube.”

But now Google recently announced that they are going to disable that application on May 30th and there wouldn’t be any platform like this. However, it wouldn’t affect gamers to watch their favorite gaming videos. Although the users of that will going to lose all the saved channels or their lists of games which they have marked in their favorites.

They have let integrated that gaming app with the original YouTube app and will continue to provide everything on its main platform.

Google says that “We want to continue to build a stronger home for the gaming community that thrives on YouTube, not just the YouTube Gaming app. After May 2019, we’ll retire the YouTube Gaming app and focus our gaming efforts across YouTube,” explains Google.

However, if you see this thing as they are it wouldn’t affect the viewers that much as YouTube has already shifted all of its gaming app features in to its original and main platform. Which makes in concern that theirs is in any need for a separate gaming platform.
